Annie my Foster-LOST

Annie who I posted about previously has ran away from her adopters cottage on Sunday. I have been searching for her everyday, along with concerned people and friends. The adopters just up and went home the same day she went missing, without so much as a thank you to anyone or any concern whatsoever. I have not heard from them.

We have put up posters and handed out cards, as well as contacted radio station, police, shelters and vets. There is a reward for her return...

It has been 4 days now since her disappearance, and the weather has been in the single digits, I fear for her life. Monday we saw 2 wolves up there.

She was last seen on Highway Q by the public boat landing just west of Pelican Lake going into the woods. This is in Langlade CO. The closest town is Elcho, WI.

Please keep Annie in your prayers that she is found safe and unharmed.

Thanks

The Wood Bead

After giving Annie her bath and a brushing to prepare her for her forever home, I decided to make a wooden bead necklace to take my mind off from being sad (I am happy for Annie, but do they know what is happening?)
This is made from butterscotch amber/darker amber/ and wooden beads, more low key and no flash... awesome looking I think! I put a new clasp design on I ordered, a hook and eye, sterling silver... looks sharp.

Annie Banana Goes to her Forever Home!

Annie Banana who has been my foster for 16 months is going to her forever home tonight. So bittersweet, when I picked her up she had been in a puppy mill used for breeding, with no socialization and just terrified of everything, esp men... all she wanted to do was hide from us. Her tail was a dirty yellow and her fur was like straw... She has come a long way, and I hope she knows we love her and not be afraid, as she is going to a wonderful and loving home that will give her all the love and take all the time she needs to gain their trust...

Blue Ice design

Today I made a new design using Czech faceted colbalt blue beads. This 16" necklace would cost $65 with free shipping. A good deal if you compare to the website Ticlace, where they run $80 (and their quality does not compare) or more. I use sterling silver hardware, or pewter for the sturdier clasps for larger sizes. The string they use is also prone to fray and become very weak with time, where I use stainless nylon coated beading wire, very sturdy and will hold up.
Check it out and do your pet a natural favor... repel ticks the natural way.

Amber Necklace with toggle

Here is an amber necklace I made with a toggle. This is really a cool clasp, esp for the larger dog necklaces... I made this one with some brown accents and white shell beads, a real surfer style ...
I can custom make them for any size dog or cat.

Here is a necklace I made with blue accent beads and has a pewter S hook. The hook is very secure as you can pinch it shut tight after you put it on your pet. The rest of the hardware is sterling silver, and the beading wire is stainless coated with nylon, so getting it wet will not rot the necklace.
Measure your pets neck and add about an inch, you don't want the necklace to tight, as the friction from rubbing on the fur causes a static charge on the amber which also repels the ticks...

AmberStone Pets- Amber necklaces to repel ticks the natural way

AmberStone Pets... visit my website and on-line Store now up!

I am starting a blog because I have some really cool news. I am now making amber necklaces for dogs and cats. Amber is the natural alternative for repelling ticks and fleas...
This is common in Europe to have your pet wear an all natural raw amberstone necklace. The amber is polmerizing and giving off terpenes which repel the ticks. Amber also has static electron properties, when rubbed with a cloth, or fur, will become statically charged, this will also repel ticks and fleas.
Amber is a fossilized resin from conifer trees that is 40 to 90 million years old! Many amber pieces have inclusions which help tell scientist of insect life millions of years ago.
All my necklaces are custom made with authentic raw amber. The unaltered raw amber still has it's natural "skin" and therefore is the most effective. Amber has also been said to have curative powers, again in European countries it is popular for parents to have their young children wear amber necklaces to help with teething. Most amber bought today has been polished or heat treated which affects the natural outer layer.
My necklaces are handcrafted in the US with sterling silver and pewter hardware, these are all made by me in my home... I can custom make any accent color bead you would like along with a choice of toggle, lobster claw, S-hook or magnetic clasps (great for cats). Please take a look at my pictures and e-mail me for pricing. I will have a website up in the next week or so.
I am really looking forward to offering this to pet lovers here in the US. My own 2 dogs contracted lyme disease last year, and I do everything possible to help prevent those nasty ticks from biting my pets, and now all my dogs wear an amber necklace!
